I was once delivering a package to a house in a remote location. The lady who lived there was quite elderly and she wasn’t able to come to the door to collect her parcel.
So, I put the package down on her porch and rang the doorbell. I could hear her shuffling around inside, but she didn’t answer the door.
I rang the doorbell again and waited for a few minutes, but there was still no answer. Since I had already delivered the package, I decided to just leave it there on the porch and head back to my truck.
As I was walking away, I heard the lady inside yelling at me: “Hey! You forgot my package!”
