Funny Survivor of Dad Jokes

I’m a funny survivor of dad jokes. I write about my life as a dad joke survivor, and how to laugh through the pain.

Introduction

It all started when I was nine years old. My dad would tell me a joke every day, and I would laugh hysterically. But then, one day, I didn’t laugh. My dad asked me why, and I said, “I don’t know. It just wasn’t funny.”

From that day on, my dad has been on a mission to make me laugh with his jokes. And he’s succeeded, time and time again. In fact, I now consider myself a funny survivor of dad jokes.

I’ve compiled some of my favorites here, in case you need a good chuckle today. Enjoy!

The Jokes

A dad joke is an embarrassing moment when your dad says something so un-funny that it’s actually funny. It’s that moment when you want to crawl under a rock and die. But, alas, you must face the fact that your dad is just a dad and he’s going to make dad jokes.

The Knock-Knock Jokes

Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Orange.
Orange who?
Orange you going to answer the door or what?

The Groaners

These are the jokes that make you groan, but you still can’t help but laugh. The ones that make you say, “Oh no, he didn’t!” But then five seconds later you’re laughing hysterically. If you’re looking for a good laugh (and groan), these dad jokes are sure to do the trick.

-What do you call a snowman with a six-pack? An abdominal snowman!
-Why don’t scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!
– want to hear a construction joke? Oh never mind, I’m still working on that one.
-Why did the gym close down? It just didn’t work out!
-You know what I saw today? Everything I looked at.
-Why are ghosts such bad liars? Because they are easy to see through.

The One-Liners

These are the dad jokes that you can always count on to get a laugh. They may be corny, but they’re also hilarious, and that’s what counts.

-Why don’t scientists trust atoms?
-Because they make up everything!

-It just didn’t work out!

-You know what I saw today?

The Reactions

Some people love dad jokes. They think they’re hilarious. Other people can’t stand them. They think they’re corny and lame. But whether you love them or hate them, you have to admit that dad jokes are a part of life. And sometimes, they’re actually funny.

The Eye-Roll

The eye-roll is the most common reaction to a dad joke. It usually happens when the dad joke is so bad, it’s actually good. The eye-roll is a way of saying, “I can’t believe you just said that, but I love you anyway.”

Other common reactions to dad jokes include the groan, the head shake, and the laugh.

The Fake Laugh

The fake laugh is a nervous laugh that people use when they are put in an awkward situation or don’t know how to respond to a joke. It is often accompanied by an uneasy smile and sometimes even by a sweat. The fake laugh can be used by both men and women, but it is most commonly used by women.

The fake laugh is often used in situations where the person wants to show that they are enjoying themselves, but they are not. It can also be used to show that the person is not offended by the joke. The fake laugh can also be used to signal that the person does not want to engage in further conversation.

The Groan

The groan is the most common reaction to a dad joke. This is usually followed by an eye roll and an insistence that you “stop it!” The groan is a sign that the dad joke has hit its mark and that you arevicariously experiencing the pain and humiliation that your dad is inflicting on himself.

Conclusion

It is clear that dad jokes can be funny, even to the people who are the brunt of them. If you can take a joke, and especially if you can give one back, then you can survive dad jokes. The important thing is not to take them too seriously.
